Our Custom cabinets are made right here in our Mooresville shop and use all American hardwoods, plywoods, components and labor. Nothing imported and all the highest quality available. Check out the specifics of our custom cabinetry:

Cabinet Construction
Although many cabinets look beautiful on the outside, not all cabinets are built the same. Its imortant to see where your money is going when you purchase cabinets by looking at the way they are built as well. Are the materials top quality? What about the machining and assembly? Are cheap pins used to hold them together or are they assembled using time tested wood to wood joinery? Just as you would not buy a $50K car based only on what you can see on the outside, it is important to understand how your cabinets are actually built so that you can be sure they will stand up to the test of time and to your family's daily use.

• We use plywood boxes with real wood veneered interiors. No melamine! We do offer a particle board cabinet which comes at a 10% discount.
• Shelves are solid wood (not particle board or plywood) with a bullnosed front and are supported by solid brass shelf pins, not plastic.
• All face frames and doors are solid wood (some plywood panel doors available).
• All hardware is manufactured by Blum right here in Stanley NC. We use fully concealed hinges on our doors and offer full extension soft close drawer glides as standard.
• Drawer boxes are solid wood and feature dovetailed joinery. All dovetailes are sanded smooth and any voids are filled prior to finishing so that your drawer boxes are of furniture quality.
• All cabinets are built using dovetailed construction. In laymans terms, this means that the cabinet top and bottom are dovetailed in to the cabinet sides so that the cabinet CANT fall apart no matter what - even 50 years later when the yellow glue gets brittle and fails. Literally, these are lifetime cabinets! No other manufacturer in the area offers this unique construction methodology.

Doors & Drawer Fronts
To be considered truly custom, you must be able to comliment your dream kitchen's design with a unique door design. After all, its the door design that sets your kitchen apart from the rest and makes for a truly 'custom' kitchen versus the 'me too' kitchens at the big box stores. To this end, we offer an unrivaled selection of doors and drawer fronts so that you can be certain to find a design that meets your taste.

• Hundreds of door and drawer front styles: raised panel, mitered, shaker, arts & crafts, applied molding and more. All available in a multitude of species from Oak, Maple and Cherry to Walnut, Mahogany and Pine
• Matching drawer fronts to compliment the door design you choose
• Matching end panels, wainscot panels, appliance panels for fridge and dishwasher

Finishes
Regardless of how much time and money you spend on the kitchen's doors and design, a poor finish can make your project look less than perfect. We specialize in custom finishing and have set ourselves apart in the Charlotte market by offering finishes of unparalleled beauty and durability.

• In todays cabinet industry, a vast majority of finishing is done with robotic equipment resulting in stains that are not hand rubbed, but rather systematically applied with a machine. All our stains are meticulously hand rubbed, resulting in greater color control and, more importantly, greater depth of stain penetration which leads to a more dramatic, 'rich' appearance in the final product. Where spray stains sit up on the wood, wiping stains penetrate the wood giving the finished piece much more depth.
• Where many companies use glaze pens or brushes, even our glazes are wiped on and off, left to 'hang' in the doors profiles and 'warm up' the flat areas of the door, adding timeless beauty to the project.
• We offer every conceivable finish option from glazing to brush stroking, antiquing, distressing and fly speckling. If you can dream it up or show us an example, we can do it. we have even won high profile jobs based on our ability to match antique furniture when every other cabinet shop in the area was unable to do so.
